Mike Eckenrode
About Mike:
Mike is happily married and a father of two beautiful children and considers himself a family man who one day hopes to bring "the kids" into this great hobby and sport of racing.
Based out of central Pennsylvania, Mike has been racing some form of rc's for about 17 years that began on the local level that involved indoor and outdoor venues. Taking monster truck racing to a new level when he broke into the regional scene back in 2002 and has not looked back since. His involvement with the National Radio Control Truck Pulling Association and Racing (NRCTPA) began slowly at first but quickly gained momentum. Catching his first big break by becoming a member of Tweaked Racing Team he soon became noticed across the rc monster truck community as a force to pay close attention to. Now, with more than 45 combined National and World Championship titles to his credit, Mike has made a mark within the NRCTPA Racing Division that is unparalleled.
His accomplishments don't stop at the podium either. Mike has long been known as a builder and fabricator of custom aluminum parts for monster trucks and other custom projects. He is the man behind Defiance Racing and Performance and has produced championship calibre race chassis for both the Clodbuster and TXT-1 monster trucks among many many other high performance upgrades for a wide range of rc trucks. When I race, I race to win. My passion for the hobby of electric rc monster truck racing pushes me to do my best and to always seek out the win.
